Read-only by design

Your ledger stays
in AutoCount.

The connector reads your accounting data. It cannot create, change or delete your AutoCount records.

Visit the Trust Center →

Access you can limit

The connector runs SELECT queries on the tables listed during setup. Use a SQL login with read-only permissions as a second layer of protection.

No incoming ports

The Windows connector calls out to Inistate over HTTPS. No port forwarding or VPN is needed.

One book per workspace

Each workspace can read only its assigned account book. An admin can disable the connection in Inistate.

A clear data path

Inistate reads requested rows live and stores module layouts rather than a copy of your ledger. The connected AI provider receives the data the assistant reads, under your agreement with that provider.

Before you connect

Your questions, answered.

What is AutoCount MCP?

AutoCount MCP is Inistate's connection between AutoCount Accounting and AI assistants using Model Context Protocol. A Windows connector reads your account book, and Inistate makes the selected data available to Claude, ChatGPT, GNey and other compatible MCP clients.

Is this an official AutoCount product?

No. AutoCount MCP is built and sold by Inistate, an independent company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by AutoCount. It connects by reading the account book's SQL Server database.

Can the AI change my AutoCount books?

No. The AutoCount connection is read-only. Purchase requests and expense claims are handled separately in Inistate, with a person approving them. Posting purchase orders or payment vouchers into AutoCount is planned and is not included in the current connection.

How much does it cost?

Data Source: AutoCount costs MYR 99 or USD 30 per month for the connector and read-only modules. Connecting an outside assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT also requires an Inistate Pro user. GNey works inside Inistate without that external connection; GNey usage is metered in AI credits. See Inistate pricing for user plans and AI credits.

Which AutoCount versions does it work with?

The connector is designed for AutoCount Accounting 2.x on SQL Server and has been tested with version 2.2. Setup checks whether the selected modules have the tables and columns they need. A Windows PC or server must be able to reach the account book's SQL Server; the installer adds .NET Framework 4.8 if needed.

Do I need the AutoCount API module, a VPN or an open port?

No AutoCount API module is needed for reading. The connector uses outgoing HTTPS connections to Inistate, so no incoming port or VPN is required. Planned posting into AutoCount will be a separate capability using AutoCount's API and will require its API module.

Where does my accounting data go?

Your ledger stays in AutoCount. Inistate reads requested rows live and stores module layouts rather than a copy of the ledger. The AI assistant you connect receives the data it reads, under your agreement with its provider.

Can I connect more than one company?

Yes. Each account book connects to its own Inistate workspace, and one connector can serve several workspaces. Each workspace is restricted to its assigned account book.

How do I turn the connection off?

A workspace admin can disable the connector in Settings > AutoCount in Inistate. You can also stop or uninstall the Windows service on the connector PC.
